Learn in few easy steps how to change the default static profile of BHIM apps. Once BHIM apps get installed on the mobile devices of user, it takes the default profile as mobilenumber@upi. i.e. if your registered mobile number with the bank is 1234567890, then default BHIM UPI profile will be 1234567890@upi.
There are many disadvantages of using the default static profile. Lot of spamming are generated in recent times with fake BHIM application id. In order to safeguard the account, customized profile may be created.
BHIM application is providing features to change the default profile address for UPI transaction.
Follow the below mention steps to change the default BHIM profile address :
1.In the My Profile section, customer has an already available QR generated with the primary UPI
handle which can be directly shared from the application.
2. There are 2 VIRTUAL PAYMENT ADDRESS (VPA)s shown 1. With mobilenumber@upi 2.
name@upi.
3. The customer can choose his desired VIRTUAL PAYMENT ADDRESS (VPA) as the default or
