ICICI Pockets, is the one stop services for all the UPI and Mobile banking services. They also have included the Bharat QR code apps with the same pockets applications. Read for more about Bharat QR code here.
ICICI bank is having two different application under mobile banking i.e. iMobile and another is Pockets.
iMobile is the Mobile banking services inclusive of UPI only for ICICI bank customer or account holder where as the ICICI Pockets apps is the UPI based application for all whether customer of ICICI bank or Not.
UPI is basically a quick and easy way to send and receive money using a Virtual Payment Address (VPA) without entering additional bank information.
How To Download ICICI Pockets UPI apps ?
Follow the below mention steps for downloading and installment of ICICI Pockets UPI apps for instant money transfer.
Note : Pockets by ICICI Bank is available only for Apple and Android mobile phones. To get the download link on your phone, SMS POCKETS to 5676766.

Steps :
1. Download the ICICI Pockets application for Android or iOS from above link. Any individual of Indian origin above the age of 10 years with an active mobile number can register on the app.
2. Once the Pockets application is downloaded, open the application from the Application folder of your phone.
How To Register for ICIC Pockets Apps ?
1. For New customers (customers who do not have an ICICI Bank Internet Banking User ID and Password)
After launching the app, you need to tap on "Create an Account"
As you do not have an existing ICICI Bank Savings Account, please tap on “No” on the notification “Are you an existing ICICI Bank Savings Account customer?“
This will take you to a basic form. Please enter your Name, Mobile number, Gender, E-mail ID and Date of Birth
We will send you the One Time Password (OTP) on the mobile number entered.
2. Post successful OTP authentication, you will need to create a User ID based on availability & Password of your choice.
This User ID & Password will be used to login to the app.
3. For existing customers (ICICI Bank Savings Account holders apart from our YoungStar, Direct Banking (B2) and NRI account holders)
A) Registration using the app
After launching the app, you would need to tap on “Login”
Please enter your existing ICICI Bank Net Banking User ID & Password
Post successful authentication, we will confirm your details – Name, E-mail ID, Mobile number, Date of Birth & Address
You will receive the One Time Password (OTP) for mobile number authentication
On successful OTP authentication, your digital wallet will be created
Once logged in, your existing Savings Account (apart from YoungStar, NRI & B2) and deposit relationships with ICICI Bank can also be viewed inside Pockets.
B) Registration using Internet Banking
Login to ICICI Bank Internet Banking with your User ID and Password
Click on the Pockets Account tab under ‘Pockets’ section from the menu and fill in your details - Name, E-mail ID, Mobile number, Gender and Date of Birth
You will receive the One Time Password (OTP) for mobile number authentication
On successful OTP authentication, your digital wallet will be created
How to create your VPA using Pockets?
1. Click on UPI on your ICICI Bank Pockets’ home screen.
2. Go to 'Manage' and select 'Add my Bank Accounts'.
3. Enter your desired prefix, for e.g. krishna@pockets and check for the availability.
4. Click on 'Continue' and select your bank.
If you intend to link multiple bank accounts with the same VPA, you can set a default account.
5. Generate MPIN. This MPIN will be used to transact through this account.
How to create your VPA using iMobile?
1. Login to iMobile and tap on UPI.
2. Choose an Account Number from the dropdown list.
3. Select 'Create New VPA'.
Enter your desired prefix, for e.g. krishna@icici and check for the availability.
4. Tick the suitable check boxes to make this the default account to send and receive payments.
5. Click on 'Submit' to receive a confirmation of your registered VPA.
How to set your default VPA on iMobile?
1. Choose Account Number from the dropdown list.
2. Choose Registered VPAs to see the VPAs that you have registered with your account.
3. Choose a VPA and click the checkboxes to make this your default account.
4. Click on 'Submit' to apply the changes to your registered VPA.
How to link Existing VPAs on iMobile?
1. Choose Account Number from the dropdown list.
2. Select 'Link Existing VPAs'.
3. Choose the relevant VPA to link to the selected Account Number.
4. Now click the checkboxes to make this the default account.
5. Click on 'Submit' to apply the changes to your registered VPA.
How To Open ICICI Pockets Saving Accounts ?
1. You can "unlock" advanced features such as interest on your deposits, higher transaction limits, iWish goals and cash withdrawal by applying for Pockets savings account from the app.
2. Effective August 5, 2016, the Minimum Monthly Average Balance in Pockets Savings Account is Zero Balance for users in the age group of 18 to 25 years and Rs. 5000 for those above 25 years.
3. You will need to have your documents ready and we will open your Pockets savings account through our super quick Tab Banking facility.
